Polysomnographer Day Technician – Sleep Center

Location: Mission Viejo, CA

Work Schedule: On Call/ Per Diem

Shift: 8-hour, Nights

Under the direct supervision of the Sleep Center Manager, this daytime sleep technologist position works during the day to process, prepare and assist with the daily flow of Sleep Center patients. The Day Polysomnographer performs MSLT/MWT tests; safely operates sophisticated medical equipment used to record sleep/wake physiology, explains procedures, prepares patients and applies recording devices. Key areas of responsibility include home sleep apnea testing, participation in MD/NP clinics, AASM compliance, quality assurance, sleep study data collection and scoring, and communication of results to physicians and patients.

Required qualifications:

  • 5 years Polysomnographic Technologist, with proven experience in running/scoring/troubleshooting all types of sleep testing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Polysomnography.
  • 2 years Working in a daytime Polysomnographer role.
