Certified Surgical Technologist / Scrub Tech
Schedule: Full time – Mid Shift
Location: Medical City McKinney Hospital
Position Summary:
The CST collaborates with the physician and Registered Nurses to serve in a support role within the Operating Room. The CST is responsible for supplies, instrumentation and equipment needed for surgical cases for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Proficient in surgical environment as surgical assistant passing instruments and assisting the physician during surgical cases.
Education/Experience Required:
  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or a hospital or military training program
License/Certification Required:
  • Certified CST by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Assisting (NBSTSA) or the Liaison Council Certification of the Association of Surgical Technologist required within 6 months of hire
  • Current American Heart Association BLS provider

  • Available for on call duties as needed
